Modern Landscape Creations recently completed a stunning project in the heart of Castle Hill, where we collaborated with our clients to bring their vision and ideas to life. Our clients weren't exactly sure what they wanted at first, so we worked closely with them to understand their needs and preferences, so we could produce a front and backyard makeover that would meet their needs and exceed their expectations. This stunning project included a range of features that would make any outdoor lover swoon, which include: A Sydney Blend Heron Block Retaining Wall to provide structure and support to the garden Striking Merbau Decks featuring at the front entrance, beside the pool and at the Laundry entrance/exit Elegant Corten Steel Edging featured throughout the front entrance Beautiful Travertine tiling around the pool to add a touch of luxury and sophistication Feature lighting throughout the front and backyard to elevate the space and take it to the next level Premium TifTuf turf - a resilient and lush variety of grass that'll stand the wear and tear of frequent use The planting palette includes Dichondra Silver Falls, Lillypillies, Magnolias and other carefully chosen species to complement the striking hardscapes Our client's primary goal was to create a yard that's perfect for entertaining guests, whilst also withstanding the frequent soccer matches that their boys like to play all over the yard. They wanted to create a home that they could love and enjoy for many years to come. Overall, we're thrilled with the results of this project, and our clients are delighted with their new outdoor space. The 2022 floods wreaked havoc on many properties, including a quaint 1960's cottage with a front deck that had seen better days. However, instead of simply repairing the damaged deck, the homeowners decided to go all out and revamp their entire front yard and the results are stunning. The first step in the project was the installation of a brand new Blackbutt deck, which now graces the front of the cottage. The rich tones of the timber beautifully complement the exterior of the cottage and provide the perfect spot for the homeowners to relax and enjoy the view of their new landscaped yard. To further enhance the entrance to the home, a travertine crazy pave pathway was added. The irregular shape and natural variation in colour of the stones give the pathway a rustic, organic feel that blends perfectly with the surrounding landscape. In addition to the deck and pathway, new hedges were planted to provide privacy screening from the street. The lush greenery creates a sense of seclusion and intimacy, while also adding to the overall aesthetic appeal of the yard. To further enhance the beauty of the lawn, Sir Walter Buffalo turf was installed. The premium turf variety is known for its durability and requires minimal maintenance, making it the perfect choice for the busy homeowners. The turf also adds a vibrant pop of green that contrasts beautifully with the earthy tones of the travertine pathway and garden edging. Speaking of garden edging, travertine was also used to create stunning garden borders that tie the entire yard together. The elegant, yet understated look of the edging perfectly complements the rest of the landscaping features and provides a clean, polished finish to the overall design. The feature Frangipani tree is another beautiful addition to the courtyard, adding a touch of exotic beauty and fragrance to the space. With its delicate white flowers and sweet fragrance, this tree is the perfect centrepiece Apart from the frangipani tree, the planting palette also includes Magnolia Teddybears, Little Rubies and Cordyline fruticosa to name a few. These plants are not only beautiful, but also low-maintenance, making them the perfect choice for a busy homeowner who wants to enjoy their outdoor space without having to spend too much time on upkeep Feature lighting throughout the courtyard to light up each individual element, and take the space to the next level Finally, the custom deck surrounding the pool ties the entire space together, creating a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor areas.
